OTTAWA – Canada Post’s proposed postage rate increase takes effect today. For stamps purchased in a booklet, coil or pane, which represent most stamp sales, the rate increases by seven cents, to 99 cents per stamp. The price of a single domestic stamp increases to $1.15, up from $1.07.

OTTAWA – Canada Post is proposing to increase postage rates in 2024. For stamps purchased in a booklet, coil or pane, which represent the majority of stamp sales, the rate would increase by seven cents, to 99 cents per stamp. The new rates would take effect May 6, 2024.

Postage rates rise on January 13, with the price for stamps purchased in a booklet, coil or pane for domestic Lettermail™ TM items weighing 30 grams or less increasing to $0.92, up from $0.90. The price of a single domestic stamp will increase to $1.07, up from $1.05.
